Pastor and Wife Bio

Elder John Moore, Sr., Founder and Pastor of the Whosoever Will Christian Center, was born in Brooklyn, New York.  He joined the United States Air Force in May 1971.  Elder Moore came to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior on Father’s Day June 1976, at the Vandenberg AFB Gospel Service in California.  He joined the Mt. Zion Church Of God In Christ a few months later, under the leadership of Superintendent Julius A. Ford and Missionary Betty Ford, in Santa Maria, CA.  It was here that he learned about the "Power of the Holy Ghost."  He was later licensed as a Minister by Superintendent J. A. Ford and preached his first sermon April 1978.  In June 1980, he was ordained an Elder of the Church Of God In Christ, and pastored the Vandenberg Air Force Base Gospel/COGIC Service for two years.  In July 1982, Elder Moore was re-assigned to the Federal Republic of West Germany, where he pastored the Ayers Kaserne COGIC Service from January 1983 to September 1986.  From 1986 through 1991, Elder Moore served under Bishop W. Wesley Sanders in St. Louis, MO., and Pastor Ricky Allen in San Antonio, Texas.

Elder Moore was re-assigned to Colorado Springs in November 1991 and served as a member of the Philippian COGIC from March 1992 until January 1998, under the leadership of Pastor Herbert M. Lofton.  During this time he completed a distinguished career in the Air Force and retired December 1995, with over 24 years of honorable service.  The Lord blessed him to start working at Colorado Christian University in February 1996, where he earned a Bachelor and Master's Degree.  In May 1998, the Lord directed Elder Moore to begin the Whosoever Will Christian Center ministry, and gave him the scripture:  Revelation 22:17

“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come.  And let him that heareth say,
Come.  And let him that is athirst come.  And Whosoever Will,
let him take the water of life freely.”

Missionary Deborah E. Moore, affectionately known as “Mother Moore,” was born on Valentine’s Day in New York City.  She and Elder Moore met as employees of Chemical Bank in New York and were married August 1975.  Mother Moore came to know Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior November 1976.  She acknowledged her calling to the missionary field and was licensed an Evangelist Missionary of the Church Of God In Christ while on tour in the Federal Republic of West Germany.  She has served as a Pastor’s Wife and First Lady twice before.  She is a woman of prayer and fasting, and sets the example for godly women everywhere.  “She is meek, but not weak,” says Elder Moore.

Currently, Mother Moore serves as Secretary, Board of Directors; WWCC Chief Financial Officer; President, WWCC Women’s Department; Coordinator, WWCC Bible Studies; and is responsible for all women’s and children’s ministries.
